What’s up with this weather?!
Having spent the last several years of my life in the sweltering Texas heat, you’d think I’d be fine with whatever Philly had to offer me in the summer. Not so, friends. I took a stroll to get some food (and beer) earlier this afternoon and was met with some nasty heat which seemed even worse due to the car exhaust/smoke that comes with a congested city.
Fortunately Google is reporting that the remainder of the week/weekend should be pleasant as long as the rain doesn’t interfere much.
Try living in New Orleans where the weather can be like this for weeks at a time instead of 2-3 days. You’d think the rain would cool it off but in fact it has the opposite effect turning it into a sauna.
You know whats funny is that I used to live in New Orleans long ago. I remember the heat like this (and of course the humidity) - I guess whats shocking to me is that this type of weather even exists in Philly!
I always assumed the summers were much milder here, with brutal winters, but not that I would see both sides of the weather spectrum.
