Interesting info for Amtrak commuters/riders in the Northeast corridor over at the Amtrak blog.
Ownership of tracks along the Northeast Corridor has never been totally clear to me. This picture helps a little bit:

The much sought* after Philadelphia-Vancouver will start this summer and be a 6-hour jaunt.
*Means I am lying. I can’t figure out why the announcement of this route (among any others) is notable.
